Lake Lanier is a four-piece New York City Hardcore (NYHC) band known for blending old-school punk with intense, socially conscious themes. Featuring members Mia (vocals), Damon (guitar), Jerry (bass/vocals), and Nate (drums), the band focuses on themes of Black joy as resistance, racism, and working-class struggles.
Lake Lanier is a reservoir in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created by the completion of Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River in 1956, and is also fed by the waters of the Chestatee River. Its a very polluted body of water and honestly scary asf.

Locked in a Vacancy is a New York City-based metalcore band formed in 1997, known for blending death metal, hardcore, and thrash with sociopolitical lyrics. Emerging from the late '90s NYHC scene, they returned in 2023 with the EP ...Before the Dawn after a long hiatus. They are recognized for their intense live shows and complex sound.
